After their victory against Gorgon & Python, our team of heroes heads over to the Cape N' Shake for some celebration.  Though tensions run high as Yoshiko's personhood is once again called into question, the situation diffuses, and Reverse-All shares a private moment with his future role model.  It seems that our heroes have successfully saved the day and returned to their mundane problems-- that is, until a strange shifting metal creature makes headlines attacking the downtown area...

Since their victory against the sentient, static cloud White Noise it’s been quiet and boring for the up and coming rag tag team of super teens, Perfect Chaos. In the basement of the Power Punch arcade, the gang receives a job offer from the gigantic robotic hero, Citadel. Impressed with their performance against White Noise, he wants their help in reclaiming a mysterious stolen artifact. But something here smells fishy… and this time it isn’t Gillian’s costume.

Can Petruso (Setsu), The Bull, use his speed and strength to protect his team and his crush?
Will May (Holly), The Legacy, be able to use her powers to help the people of Halcyon?
Can Hyacinth (Jovian), The Nova, keep their terrifying and dangerous powers under control?
Can Beth (Bee), The Doomed, keep her freedom and life from the cult that created her?
Will Gillian (Yoshi), The Janus, creep people out with her horrifying powers and costume?

Yes to that one. Always yes to that one.

Masks: Perfect Chaos Chargen

When a week goes by and life gets too crazy to record a session, it's time for some new teen superheroes to step up to the task!  Meet Perfect Chaos, a second team in our Halcyon City canon.  Lead by GM Kyle, its members are Petruso "Arcadia" Pennington (Setsu), a human/goat gene splicing experiment with a gregarious personality; May "Nightfall" O'Connor (Holly), the latest in a legacy hero line with a tarnished reputation; Hyacinth "Oneironaut" Gamma (Jovian), a powerful psychic who can manifest their dreams; Betthaneigh "Arcana" (Bee), the accursed daughter of a cultist trying desperately to stop their terrible deeds; and Gillian "Scooper Duper" Fairgood (Yoshi), a standoffish goth who wears a full-body mascot costume to fight crime.  Today, you'll get to learn a little more about them, and the things they did when they first formed their team.  Later this week, we'll have their oneshot session up.

October has been a crazy and difficult month for us at Roll to Breathe, but it looks that the worst of it is over.  Next Wednesday there will be no episode; Steel City Rhapsody will return on November 8.  We thank everyone, especially our Patreon backers, for your patience.

MASKS 14-2: Sacrifice

The final battle wages on.  Revelations are had and drastic actions are taken.  Everything the Final Hazard has faced lead to this moment; from Papa DeSnott giving himself to A.E.G.I.S. to save his son to Yoshiko's misguided attempts to use herself as bait to draw out Ashe.  Their journey has been one marked by sacrifice, yet as they come to terms with that there are still sacrifices left to make.

This is our penultimate episode of our first season of Masks. The last one is an epilogue, to be released next week, which has no dice rolling or other mechanics.  Thank you so much for listening to us!  And thanks to Magpie Games and Brendan Conway for making such an excellent game.
