On an ordinary day in 1978, a flash of light erupts from the Boston Fish Pier. Seven individuals (and one infant) step out and plan what to do next. A young woman with red hair consults the locals for help finding some people. She and a Korean-American woman take off with a black woman, after the latter places a call to Pittsburgh. With some deliberation, a strange blonde woman and a man holding a baby head off in search of the the end to their journey.
